Former Bangladesh skipper Tamim Iqbal has withdrawn his name from the upcoming election of Bangladesh Cricket Board, scheduled on October 6.
The left-handed opener went to the BCB headquarters and withdrew his nomination paper on Wednesday (September 1).
Tamim earlier expressed his desire to run for the BCB election but changed his mind at the last minute. After filing the nomination paper, he alleged of government inference in BCB election.
